The mission of Farmville Presbyterian Preschool is to provide a Christian, educational and loving environment for your child. It is our goal that each child will grow spiritually, socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually while attending our program.
Our program is Biblically based and is centered around Christ’s love for us. We hope to instill Christian values as well as love and understanding for God and for those around us.
We recognize that every child is unique, and that they learn at different levels. Our teachers understand their individual developmental needs and strive to teach skills that are appropriate for his/her age level as well as to build a foundation for their formal education.
Founded in 2005, Farmville Presbyterian Preschool has been an outreach mission program not only for our church but for the community as well. FPP has a “Notice of Compliance” from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Child Development. This means that we comply with all applicable requirements provided in General Statute 110 and the child care rules for religious sponsored child care centers. We have annual compliance visits from the NC Dept., fire and building inspections as well as annual sanitation inspections from the Pitt County Health Department.
We have a two year old class with a maximum of 11, three year old class with a maximum of 13 and a four year old class with a maximum of 16. Each class has a lead teacher and an assistant and the staff child ratios are lower than what is required by law. We operate on a half day schedule from 9am until noon.
We offer music, story time and Chapel time each week. We follow a Christian curriculum as well as implement the goals and requirements to prepare the children for kindergarten.
